В статье исследуются бытовые и финансовые условия семейной жизни, связанные преимущественно с воспитанием детей первого поколения советских женщин – профессиональных ученых, работавших в московских научных учреждениях Академии наук СССР в середине 1930-х гг. К 1936 г. прошло почти двадцать лет с момента введения юридического женского равноправия в России, с начала активного доступа женщин к высшему университетскому образованию и к научным профессиям, требующим от работника не только высокой квалификации, но больших временных затрат. Оба эти обстоятельства неизбежно должны были привести к конфликту между интересами профессиональными и семейными. Повседневные бытовые условия жизни и работы московских женщин-ученых отразились в заполненных ими в январе 1936 г. анкетах, проанализированных в настоящей статье и впервые вводимых в научный оборот. Материалы этих анкет свидетельствуют о плохом финансовом положении большинства исследованных женщин-ученых, их тяжелых жилищных условиях, о том, что содержание и воспитание детей становилось временами дополнительной тяжелой нагрузкой, затруднявшей научную работу женщин.
The article examines domestic and financial conditions of family life in the 1930s, focusing on the lives of the children of Soviet women who were the first generation to work as professional scientists at Moscow scientific institutions affiliated with the USSR Academy of Sciences. By 1936, nearly two decades had passed since legal women’s rights were introduced in Russia, allowing women to access higher education and pursue scientific careers that require highly qualified employees and a significant amount of time. These circumstances led to a conflict between women's professional and family obligations. The daily lives and work experiences of these women scientists are reflected in the surveys they completed in January 1936. This article analyzes these surveys and introduces them to the research community for the first time. The materials from these questionnaires reveal the poor financial circumstances of the majority of female scientists, difficult living conditions, and the fact that childcare has sometimes become an additional burden that hinders the scientific work of women.
